On the last week of November, off I went to Singapore to conduct a workshop. It was my very first visit there and apart from meeting up with fellow Asian photographers I have come to make friends with online, I was also excited to explore their country and culture….and what a melting pot it is.
Singapore is a beautiful country and my short visit there was indeed an opportunity of a lifetime. This stream would form part of my Singapore series.
We went to this place called Little India and everywhere I looked, I got trigger happy and just took pictures all the way. It’s such a rich and intense place; it transported me to a whole new country and culture altogether. Here’s my attempt at depicting PARC style in Singapore….
...very nice composition..the reflections on the polished floor and the light on the right make this photo eye-arresting, Parc...was this inside the temple? Didnt bother to get in...

Thanks everyone! :) Happy that you like this set. I really enjoy the subject, it's not something I've shot before. Nag try talaga ako magpakapal ng mukha and asked to take their photos. If I didn't do it, baka buildings of Singapore lang nasa collection ko. I still have more but I'm too beat to work on it.
@tonysantos --- yup it's inside the temple. Galing talaga dun.
@kurotinka --- lens is 24-105, my one and only trusty lens
@ mongart --- actually, ako rin...it also looks like a scene from 300 to me. When I captured it, I was so happy. Palakad nga yung person to the right, buti na lang I got him in the frame. Just perfect.
geesh, my first time to check out your site maestro parc, and boy am i humbled by the "life" you captured of india in little india...i just travelled to new delhi and experienced the real-real thing there. yet i've always felt soo inadequate in capturing life there as i experienced it...i can just imagine how much of india "your eyes" would have captured if you were there yourself. every little thing there tells of a culture whose story awaits to be told...congratulations sir, your gift is indeed something to be shared. i hope to save up enough to afford one of your lectures. God Bless!
