Starting the year with a showcase of portraits taken just recently. I was supposed to be going all out a week before 2008 ends but had to endure a minor setback. One day, while visiting my mother's house right before Christmas, I found out she was organizing a party for street kids. I didn't realize she does this every year. And luckily, I had my camera with me, the lone photographer (save for the kids' parents) who had all these children as subjects. My mom wanted me to cover the event, but all I took were portraits (hehe).

Many of these photos are of happy children. None of those sad looking, dreary images this time. It's the holidays, it's for kids, it's time to enjoy.
